Stainless Steel ERW Pipes and Tubes Manufacturer in India
MLTI Private Limited (Moonlight Tube Industries) has manufactured and exported stainless steel ERW pipes and tubes based in Gujarat since 2008, and the plant now turns out roughly 8,000 MT a year. ERW stands for Electric Resistance Welded: a strip is cold-formed into a cylinder, and the abutting edges are forged together by resistance heating, without filler metal. Welded pipe leaves the works to ASTM A312 / ASME SA-312, while welded tube is certified to ASTM A249, A269, or A554 by service. Grades 304, 304L, 310, 316, 316L, 316Ti, 321, 321H, 347, 347H, and 904L carry most of the schedule, each with matching UNS, EN and JIS designations.
SA-312 sets minima of 515 MPa tensile and 205 MPa yield strength, with minimum values of 485 MPa tensile strength and 170 MPa yield strength for the low-carbon grades. As an SS ERW pipe manufacturer in India, we produce 1/8 inch to 10 inch NB pipe in the four ASME B36.19M schedules plus an intermediate 20S wall series, tube from 12.7 mm to 101.6 mm OD, and square and rectangular sections beside them. Sugar mills, chemical plants, dairies, water treatment works and fabricators place the bulk of orders. In-house eddy current, hydrostatic and PMI testing backs every EN 10204 3.1 certificate. We hold ISO 14001 and 45001 certifications along with BIS, EIL, IBR, and PED 2014/68/EU approvals.

Five sectors take most of the output, each specifying SS welded pipe or tube against a different corrosion or loading condition.
Sugar and Distillery Plants
Juice heaters, evaporator tube and molasses transfer lines run hot, acidic and abrasive through a crushing season. Grade 304 ERW pipe holds that combination without the scaling and lining that carbon steel needs.
Chemical and Petrochemical Processing
Dosing lines, product transfer headers, and A249 heat exchanger tubes are specified in 316 and 316L. Molybdenum keeps the passive film intact where chlorides or mildly reducing media would pit plain 18-8 material.
Food, Dairy and Pharmaceutical Processing
Purified water loops, CIP circuits and milk transfer runs take 316L welded tube with a pickled and passivated bore. A bead rolled seam leaves no internal crevice for residue to lodge in.
Water Treatment and HVAC Systems
Municipal treatment headers, building risers and condenser water circuits use stainless steel welded pipe in grade 304, moving to 316 on chlorinated supply. Structural and Engineering Fabrication
Square and rectangular A554 tube goes into handrails, platform frames, machine bases and architectural work. Fabricators weld, polish and bend it without the joint opening, since the seam anneals with the parent metal.

Pipes and tubes undergo specialised packaging, marking, and certification to ensure secure, compliant transport via sea or road to global destinations.

Stainless steel ERW pipe is a welded austenitic pipe formed from a strip and closed by a longitudinal electric resistance seam, produced without filler metal and certified under ASTM A312.
ERW pipe serves water, process and structural lines at a lower rate per metre; seamless is reserved for extreme pressure and heavy cyclic duty.
SS ERW pipe is stocked in grades 304, 304L, 310, 316, 316L, 316 Ti, 321, 321H, 347, 347H, 904L and other series analyses made against order.
ASTM A312 / ASME SA-312 covers welded austenitic stainless steel pipe. Welded tube follows ASTM A249 for boiler and heat exchanger duty, A269 for general service and A554 for mechanical sections.
Stainless steel ERW pipe is supplied in lengths up to 24 metres, cut to order; square and rectangular tube runs to a maximum of 12 metres.
SS ERW pipe falls under HSN heading 7306, with welded circular stainless sections classified under 7306 40 and square or rectangular hollow sections under 7306 61.
Stainless steel ERW pipe is suited to water distribution and HVAC condenser circuits. Grade 304 serves closed and treated loops, and 316 is specified where chlorinated or brackish water raises the pitting risk.
